OpenView Venture Partners Role: AI & Analytics Intern

Role and Responsibilities

OpenView is seeking an intern to work on accelerating our key strategic initiatives via newly emerging technology around AI and automation. We’re looking for someone with an affinity for testing and playing with computer software to solve problems. This person will be responsible for identifying tooling and developing prototypes that can be leveraged internally to achieve our cross-functional goals. They will report to our VP of Growth and to our cross-functional AI working group.

The Intern will be responsible for:

  • AI
  • Researching emerging technology around AI
  • Identifying and investigating use cases where AI can be applied internally
  • Collaborating with internal teams to gather requirements and identify areas of need
  • Developing prototypes for emerging technology solutions to be implemented internally
  • Analytics
  • Performing SQL analysis on large data sets in Snowflake in a scalable way, including setting up basic automations
  • Setting up basic ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and reverse ETL processes for various streams of data

The ideal candidate:

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team and is excited to dig in and help – wherever needed:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, math, or a business-related field
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with analyzing large data sets, from ingestion to presentation
  • Consistent and precise attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and team?player attitude, including some experience with communicating technical results to non-technical stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of VC or a desire to learn the ropes quickly
  • Able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic organization that values continuous rapid improvement
  • Intense curiosity for tinkering and testing applications of technology
  • 40-hour work week preferred, open to part-time
  • Preferred hybrid with 3-4 days per week in the Boston office
