Program Description

Blackstone’s Summer Analyst Program spans 10 weeks, offering participants extensive exposure across the firm. This program provides Summer Analysts with valuable guidance through mentorship, continuous feedback, technical and soft skill training, networking opportunities with professionals across the firm, and the unique chance to fully immerse themselves in Blackstone’s culture.

Job Description           

Blackstone’s Credit and Insurance Group offers summer analysts experience on a professional team whose work involves delivering Blackstone’s investment management expertise and products to insurance companies.  Summer analysts at Blackstone have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of middle and back-office initiatives and can expect to be staffed on a number of different clients at once. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, summer analysts are expected to assume integral roles on the BIS Operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with monthly portfolio reconciliation process; investigating and resolving discrepancies with administrators, internal operations teams, and external vendors
  • Working with internal Blackstone teams to onboard new clients as well as implementing the set-up of new investment products (separately managed accounts, alternative funds, co-investment vehicles, etc.) and asset transfers
  • Preparing and coordinating BXCI Operations reporting for Portfolio Management, Finance, and Senior Management
  • Executing and reviewing subscriptions, capital calls, and distribution allocations for various clients and investment vehicles
  • Preparing and reviewing fund forecasts, performance estimates, attributions, and other ad-hoc projects
  • Perform special projects and analysis determined by the needs of Senior Management
  • Validating trade booking across multiple assets, while also working with our internal Asset Allocation team to properly allocate trades across the Public and Private space.

Qualifications

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Prior finance, operations, insurance experience preferable
  • Strong accounting and data management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well in a lean team environment
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good judgment, and positive attitude

  • Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2025 – Spring 2026

Expected annual base salary range:

$110,000 – $110,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
