Access Holdings Interview Process & Questions

Firms often make changes in their interview process as they see fit for each candidate. However, you can likely expect the following when you interview at Access Holdings (or similar firms):

  • Interview will consists of 4 to 6 rounds
  • For the initial rounds, you will be interviewed by the HR team or their junior professional investors. The more senior staff takes over in the later rounds
  • Prepare to answer a combination of behavioral, technical / investing, and fit questions

The entire interview process may take several weeks, unless it’s “on-cycle” or “on-campus” recruiting.

Why Access Holdings

One of the most important questions that also almost always shows up during interviews is “Why this firm?”

When asked, make sure to avoid generic answers. Share that you’ve met professionals at their firm during your networking efforts, and that their positive experiences inspired you to become part of their team.

You can also listen to interviews with the firm’s founders and investors to know more about how the firm operates and see the investment landscape through their lens.

For example, here’s an exclusive interview with Access Holdings’ team:

Access Holdings Case Study

Case studies are also a common part of interviews. Firms use case studies to measure the communication skills and technical knowledge of each candidate.

Most case studies will have you provide investment recommendations and also perform financial modeling. But expect a cold calling case study as well if you’re applying for a junior role.
