Anzu Partners Interview Process & Questions
Interview process can be different for each candidate. However, if you interview at Anzu Partners (or similar firms), there’s a high chance you’ll experience the following:
- Going through more or less five rounds of interview
- Getting interviewed by the HR team or junior investment professionals during the initial rounds, and more senior folks for later rounds
- Answering a mixture of behavioral, technical / investing, and fit questions
The whole interview process can take several weeks, unless it’s “on-cycle” or “on-campus” recruiting.

Why Anzu Partners
One of the most important and commonly asked questions is “Why this firm?”
When you receive this question from your interviewer, make sure to mention the professionals at their firm whom you’ve met during your networking efforts. Share how their positive experiences and professional growth helped you decide to apply at the firm.
Also, it’s best to do some research about the firm before showing up at interviews.
For this, I’d recommend listening to interviews with its founders, investors, and anyone connected to the firm.
As an example, here’s an interview with Jenna Abelli, Principal at Anzu Partners:

Anzu Partners Case Study
Firms often evaluate the communication skills and technical knowledge of their candidates. Case studies is one of the best ways to do this. That’s why, if you interview at Anzu Partners, it’s best to prepare for case studies.
Most case studies at investment firms revolve around asking for investment recommendations and performing financial modeling. But a cold calling case study may also be required for junior roles.
I’ve covered case studies inside my self-paced online course Growth Equity Interview Guide.
