Eniac Ventures Overview

Eniac Ventures is a venture capital firm which leads Seed funding rounds for businesses operating in the B2B, SaaS, Robotics, Technology, Software, and related spaces.

When founders decide to work with Eniac Ventures, they get four partners for the price of one – each of which uses their experience to give sound investment advice.

The firm also provides additional support to their portfolio companies such as:

  • Talent recruiting
  • Public relations and marketing
  • Operations resources
  • Networking opportunities
  • Connections to other founders

Vic Singh, Nihal Mehta, Tim Young, and Hadley Harris founded Eniac Ventures in 2009. The firm is headquartered in New York City, USA.

Eniac Ventures Interview Process & Questions

Interview process can always change based on what the firms see fit. However, when you interview at firms like Eniac Ventures, you may expect to go through 4 to 6 sets of interviews.

For the initial rounds, the HR team or junior investment professionals will lead the interviews, while senior folks conduct the later part of the process. Expect the whole interview process to last for multiple weeks, except if it’s an on-campus or on-cycle recruiting.

The interview questions will be a mixture of behavioral, technical / investing, and fit questions.

My Growth Equity Interview Guide helps candidates prepare for such interviews. Feel free to check it out!

Why Eniac Ventures

One of the most common (and critical) questions you’ll get during interviews is “Why this firm?”

When answering this question, it’s best to include people from the firm you’ve met during your networking efforts. Tell the interviewer how their positive experience at the firm influenced your decision to apply.

Another thing is to learn more about the firm. For example, listen to interviews with its founders, investors, partners, and other key individuals, so you can better understand how they operate.

For example, here’s Tim Young, Co-Founder at Eniac Ventures, discussing how their process of finding product-market fit:

Eniac Ventures Case Study

Firms always want to make sure the candidates they hire have good communication skills and deep technical knowledge. One of the ways they evaluate these traits is through case studies. That’s why you need to expect to face a case study in your interviews.

Most case studies at firms like Eniac Ventures will have you perform financial modeling and provide investment recommendations. However, if you’re applying for junior roles, you may also be required to do a cold calling case study.

Case studies can be challenging. That’s why I’ve discussed it in great detail inside my Growth Equity Interview Guide to help candidates out.
