About Alkemi: Alkemi is a SEBI registered category II early growth venture capital fund based out of New Delhi. Alkemi focuses on investing in healthcare and wellness companies.
About the position: Alkemi is looking to hire an asoociate in its investment team. The asoociate will be involved across the entire lifecycle of investing including sourcing, diligence, deal execution, portfolio management and exit. In addition, the individual will be expected to contribute to firm building and fund support activities.
What we are looking for in the candidate:
• Excellent quantitative ability – must be proficient in market sizing, basics of finance and accounting (e.g. reading P&L, margins, cash flow, etc.), etc.
• Demonstrated curiosity to learn and grow
• Ability to think laterally and having good analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
• Hustler with a high level of entrepreneurial instinct
• Independent thinker / self starter
• Takes initiative and is comfortable working in small teams
• Honesty and integrity
In addition to the above, the candidate must possess MBA degree from a top tier institute in a quant heavy field (e.g. engineering, economics, business, etc.) with at least 4 years of post graduation full-time work experience at any of the following:
• A high growth startup in a non-technology role (e.g. Marketing, business
development, business analytics, etc.)
• A venture capital firm, a renowned accelerator or angel network
• An investment bank or a management consulting firm
• Healthcare / pharma company in strategy / business analytics roles
Experience in healthcare and a personal network in the entrepreneurship and venture capital ecosystem would be an added advantage.
