Alpine Investors is seeking a Sr. Associate, GTM Strategy to execute engagements across Alpine’s portfolio in partnership with the GTM team within Alpine Operations Group (AOG). This role, reporting to Roger Breum (VP, GTM Strategy), assumes responsibility for delivering a standardized program that drives significant, lasting impact across Alpine portfolio companies. Broadly, this hire will drive GTM excellence in Alpine’s portfolio to protect and create equity value. Key outcomes + responsibilities include:

Engagement Delivery and Implementation: Lead delivery of GTM strategy offerings

  • Be a thought partner with CEOs, executives, and Board members to lead GTM strategy workshops that deliver successful short- and long-term business outcomes.
  • Lead working sessions of GTM Fundamentals workshops for portfolio companies regularly.
  • Build key documents and deliverables using program templates, including Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), target segmentation, feature matrix, and messaging work.

Program Success for GTM Strategy: Refine and maintain product catalog offerings and expected outcomes.

  • Maintain and refine a clear product catalogue of defined offerings that demonstrate the success of prior engagements.
  • Continuously tune a comprehensive set of templates, decks and 1-pagers that will be consistently used for all engagements.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends to inform program strategy development.
  • Ensure organized and consistently maintained program materials in line with GTM Practice standards.
  • Collaborate with GTM team members for effective engagement planning and execution
  • Share knowledge and mentor GTM analysts as needed

YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Proven track record (6+ years) of success in GTM strategy, management consulting, or complex, customer-facing roles
  • Experience with various business sizes and types such as service-based businesses, B2B software, tech-enabled services, platforms, and rollups
  • Proven experience in building a GTM strategy, having developed market segmentation, positioning, and messaging
  • Experience in leading strategic workshops and working sessions, ideally with a focus on revenue strategy and growth
  • Strong understanding of how GTM strategy impacts KPIs tied to incremental revenue and EBITDA
  • Proven experience developing processes for improved efficiency and accuracy
  • Problem solving mindset with the ability to work across simultaneous workstreams and tight timelines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with C-level executives
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or master’s degree is a plus
  • Alignment with Alpine’s core values

JOB EXPECTATIONS

  • 3+ days in office per week; the role can be based in either our New York or San Francisco office
  • Frequent (~50%) domestic travel to both Portfolio Companies and Alpine’s offices

COMPENSATION

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $160,000-200,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
