Analyst, Primaries – Buyout & LBO Investing

The Carlyle Group is looking for a motivated Analyst/Associate to join their AlpInvest Primaries team in New York. This role is a fantastic opportunity to dive into the world of private equity, where you’ll be involved in sourcing and evaluating fund investments, conducting due diligence, and supporting client reporting. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable insights into the investment process.

What You’ll Do

• Research and evaluate private equity firms
• Conduct due diligence on fund managers
• Manage investment processes and deal execution
• Monitor existing portfolio investments
• Support client reporting and fundraising efforts

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1 – 5 years of experience in investing, investment banking, research, or consulting
• Strong interest in primary fund investing
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proven teamwork abilities
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
