Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is looking for a junior investment professional to join their Teachers’ Venture Growth team in San Francisco. This role involves supporting direct investments in high-growth technology companies, from origination to portfolio monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a strong background in finance, ready to contribute to a dynamic team focused on shaping the future.

What You’ll Do

  • Support all stages of the investment process from origination to portfolio monitoring.
  • Develop investment theses and financial models.
  • Conduct sector research to identify potential investment targets.
  • Prepare investment memos and present recommendations.
  • Build relationships with founders and investors for deal sourcing.
  • Evaluate and monitor portfolio company performance.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences.

What You Need

  • 1+ years of investment or deal experience in fields like investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • A genuine passion for disruptive technology and the startup ecosystem.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to adopt new AI tools as they evolve.
