We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Associate, Investor Relations to support senior leadership in expanding our Limited Partner (LP) base and increasing the firm’s visibility among key investors. This role is a critical enabler for senior leadership’s business development efforts and will involve arranging and supporting high-impact investor meetings and external events.
Job Summary:
The Associate (Senior Associate), Investor Relations, will play a key supporting role in partnering with senior leadership to enhance and expand investor relationships. The Associate will focus on driving business development initiatives, arranging strategic meetings, and coordinating key external events to broaden the firm’s LP audience. While senior leadership will serve as the primary external representative, the Associate will work closely behind the scenes to ensure the effectiveness of outreach efforts, as well as engage in external events alongside senior leadership. This role offers a blend of operational excellence and external relationship-building support.
Key Responsibilities:
Support senior leadership in LP Development
- Partner closely with senior leadership to develop strategies for reaching a wider LP audience, identifying new opportunities to engage with institutional investors, family offices, and other sources of capital.
- Support senior leadership in preparing for and conducting key LP meetings, including research, briefing materials, and follow-up communications.
- Arrange and coordinate strategic meetings with prospective LPs, ensuring smooth execution and timely follow-up to strengthen investor engagement.
- Serve as a key facilitator, enabling senior leadership to focus on high-impact interactions by managing logistics, materials, and outreach strategies.
Business Development & Investor Outreach
- Conduct research and business development activities to identify and cultivate relationships with potential investors, coordinating with senior leadership to arrange introductions and meetings.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective LPs, assisting in targeting and engaging new investor groups to drive incremental capital formation.
- Assist in managing communications and outreach strategies for new LP engagements, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic fundraising goals.
External Event Coordination & Participation
- Take responsibility for arranging senior leadership’s participation in key external events, including industry conferences, LP forums, and networking opportunities.
- Coordinate logistics and ensure senior leadership is well-prepared for presentations, panel discussions, and investor meetings at external events.
- Attend select external events alongside senior leadership, participating in investor discussions and representing the firm in a supporting capacity to strengthen relationships and expand the firm’s visibility.
- Develop a strategic plan for the firm’s participation in key industry events, identifying opportunities for senior leadership to engage with a broader investor audience.
Investor Relations Strategy & Execution
- Work closely with senior leadership to refine the firm’s investor relations strategy, ensuring that outreach efforts are targeted and aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and deliver high-quality investor communications, including presentations, meeting briefs, and follow-up reports, ensuring senior leadership is equipped with the necessary materials for successful LP engagement.
- Manage relationships with external LPs by supporting senior leadership in maintaining regular communication, addressing inquiries, and providing performance updates.
Collaborative Leadership & Cross-Team Engagement
- Partner with internal teams to gather insights and information needed for effective investor communication.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that all investor-facing activities are well-coordinated and aligned with the firm’s overall strategic objectives.
- Provide operational support to ensure that investor outreach initiatives run smoothly, managing scheduling, logistics, and follow-up.
Market Intelligence & Investor Insights
- Conduct market research to identify trends in the healthcare software space, private equity, and LP sentiment, using insights to inform senior leadership’s outreach strategies.
- Monitor investor trends and competitive landscapes, providing actionable insights to senior leadership for refining communication and engagement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5+ years in private placements, investor relations, business development, or fundraising within private equity with a focus on supporting senior leadership in external-facing roles.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field
- Skillset:
- Strong organizational skills, with proven experience in supporting C-level executives or senior leadership in business development and investor relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with LPs and investors.
- Ability to arrange and coordinate strategic meetings, presentations, and external events, ensuring effective execution and follow-up.
- Proficiency in managing outreach initiatives, investor pipelines, and scheduling, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in participating in investor meetings and events, supporting senior leadership in external engagements.
- Knowledge of private equity fundraising processes and LP expectations, particularly in healthcare or software-focused investments.
Work Environment & Flexibility:
- The role can be based in Boston, South Florida, New York or Chicago with the option of remote for the right candidate. Regular travel will be required to support the leadership teams at conferences, investor meetings, and external events.
