Role summary:

  • This position presents candidates with a unique opportunity to join a growing group that offers significant exposure to all phases of the Direct Lending process.
  • The incumbent will provide support for monitoring corporate debt and equity investments, including quarterly valuation and reporting, as well as support Ares ongoing fund raising and investor relationship effort.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work well with limited supervision are of critical importance

Primary responsibilities:

  • The incumbe will provide support for the monitoring of Ares US Direct Lending Group corporate debt and equity investments, including general portfolio management, quarterly valuation and reporting, supporting the potential restructuring of investments with senior investment professionals, as well as supporting ongoing fund raising and existing investor relationship efforts.
  • This position will be based in Mumbai.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Core responsibility for monitoring corporate debt and equity investments:
  • Providing assistance to deal teams with assigned investments and general portfolio managementincluding quarterly valuation and reporting
  • Supporting potential restructuring with detailed Excel financial models including cash flow analysis,and related capital structure re- structuring analysis
  • Communicating with portfolio company management
  • Utilizing firm’s proprietary software tools for company tracking
  • Performing and helping manage mark-to-market quarter end valuations and process
  • Analyzing portfolio trends and market leverage and price development

Another key responsibility is supporting Ares ongoing fund raising and existing investor relationship effort.

  • Maintaining and developing Ares investment track record
  • Assisting in investors presentations and queries
  • Additional duties include providing direct support as deemed necessary by senior management

General requirements:

  • Self-motivated and driven; ability to work effectively in a collegial, fast moving,demanding, and dynamic environment
  • Experience with asset management systems or other relational databases
  • Experience at a regional, national, or global financial services firm
  • Experience with US capital markets
  • Self-starter, exceptional communication, and organizational skills necessary
  • Ability to work independently as well as with “the team”
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer literacy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Creative problem solver

Required experience:

  • CA / MBA with 3 to 5 years of experience
