Associate, Alternative Credit (Residential)

Ares Management is looking for an Associate to join their Residential Credit team in New York. This role involves analyzing investments, conducting due diligence, and supporting portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have a strong finance background, particularly in asset finance and corporate credit. What You’ll Do

• Analyze and underwrite potential investments with detailed financial models.
• Support the team during due diligence and closing processes.
• Conduct industry research to support investment opportunities.
• Help prepare Investment Committee memos and ensure quality analysis.
• Assist in managing and monitoring portfolio investments.
• Contribute to team projects to enhance investment processes.

What You Need

• Strong academic background from a top university.
• 2+ years of finance experience, especially in asset finance and corporate credit.
• Experience with residential mortgage products and securitization is a must.
• Prior experience in buyside or investment banking is preferred.
• Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills.
