Associate, Asia Direct Lending

Ares Management is looking for an Associate to join their Asia Direct Lending team in Sydney. This role is perfect for someone with a strong analytical background and a passion for private credit. You’ll be involved in the entire investment process, from sourcing and underwriting to portfolio management. What You’ll Do

• Conduct detailed financial and market research for investment decisions
• Screen and assess new investment opportunities
• Build and maintain complex financial models
• Prepare and present investment committee materials
• Analyze investment performance and update valuations
• Assist with legal documentation and investment closings
• Engage with management teams and sponsors

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a top-tier institution
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in private credit, leveraged finance, or investment banking
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Creative problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Impeccable integrity and trustworthiness
