Associate, Credit Secondaries

Ares Management is looking for an Associate to join their Credit Secondaries team in New York. In this role, you’ll be involved in transaction underwriting, due diligence, and portfolio management. You’ll work closely with a dynamic team and have the opportunity to contribute to investment decisions. What You’ll Do

• Assist in due diligence and analytical efforts during the investment process
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative credit analysis
• Perform financial modeling for transactions
• Organize due diligence materials and develop investment theses
• Participate in diligence sessions with third parties
• Communicate investment recommendations to the team

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in credit or leveraged finance
• Strong Excel modeling and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Intellectual curiosity and creative critical thinking
