Associate, Decarbonization Partners – Venture/Growth Equity Investment

BlackRock is looking for an Associate to join their Decarbonization Partners team in San Francisco. This role offers a chance to work on exciting investment opportunities in sectors focused on sustainability and climate solutions. You’ll collaborate with a talented team, manage projects, and conduct market research while contributing to a mission-driven organization.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain financial models to analyze investment opportunities
• Collaborate with the investment team on assessing and executing investments
• Conduct market research on potential investments and industries
• Assist in managing portfolio companies
• Provide portfolio reports and analytics for internal and external use

What You Need

• Undergraduate degree with a strong academic background; STEM preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in investment banking or private markets investing
• Passion for investing and/or experience in Next Gen Energy Systems, Advanced Mobility, and Climate Infrastructure
• Proficiency in financial modeling and investment evaluation
• Experience in due diligence processes is a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication skills
