Associate, Direct Equity Buyout Investing

Pathway Capital Management is looking for an Investment Associate to join their Direct Equity Investment Team in Irvine, CA. In this role, you’ll be involved in all aspects of the direct equity platform, from screening investment opportunities to preparing detailed analyses and presentations. This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of experience in finance who wants to grow in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do

• Help screen new direct equity investment opportunities.
• Lead analyses and due diligence for investment opportunities.
• Coordinate with partners and clients to manage project timelines.
• Prepare investment memos and present to the investment committee.
• Monitor post-close performance and compliance.
• Oversee analysts to ensure quality and timeliness of work.
• Assess and present performance analysis to investors.

What You Need

• 1-3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, valuation, or consulting.
• Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
• Strong knowledge of private equity and capital markets.
• Experience in investment underwriting, modeling, and valuation analysis is a plus.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and research skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Familiarity with CapitalIQ is a bonus.
