Associate, Direct Investments – Real Estate

Starwood Capital Group is looking for an Associate to join their Direct Investments team in New York. This role focuses on venture capital, growth equity, and private equity investments. The ideal candidate will support the investment process, conduct due diligence, and help manage a diverse portfolio. What You’ll Do

• Support the investment team in diligence and deal execution
• Help manage a portfolio of investments
• Conduct analysis on potential new investments
• Prepare investment memos and recommendations
• Collaborate with operations and finance teams for portfolio updates
• Engage in strategic projects for the family office

What You Need

• Strong undergraduate academic record
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or similar roles
• Experience in evaluating companies and conducting due diligence
• Familiarity with venture capital and private equity investing
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
