Associate, Direct Lending

The Associate in Direct Lending at Ares Management will play a key role in sourcing and analyzing new investment opportunities. This position involves financial modeling, preparing investment memos, and supporting deal closings. You will work closely with management teams and contribute to portfolio management, all while being part of a collaborative and dynamic team in Stockholm.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct detailed financial and market research for investment decisions
• Screen new investment opportunities
• Build complex financial models in Excel
• Prepare investment committee memos and presentations
• Analyze investment performance and update valuations
• Assist in negotiating legal documentation
• Support investment closings and portfolio management
• Meet with management teams to assess opportunities

What You Need

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree from a top institution
• Strong analytical and financial skills
• 2-5 years in private credit, leveraged finance, or investment banking
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Creative problem solver and good team player
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Fluency in English and either Swedish or another Scandinavian language
