Associate, Equities (Consumer Discretionary)

CPP Investments is looking for an Investment Associate to join their Active Equities team focusing on the Consumer Discretionary sector. In this role, you’ll conduct thorough research and analysis to identify investment opportunities. You’ll collaborate with a talented team and have the chance to present your findings to senior leadership. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while contributing to the financial sustainability of the Canada Pension Plan.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct in-depth research on companies in the Consumer Discretionary sector.
• Build relationships with industry participants and management teams.
• Perform due diligence to assess investment opportunities.
• Develop financial models and conduct valuation analyses.
• Prepare investment reviews and recommendations for the team.
• Present investment ideas to the Investment Committee.
• Support the transition of new assets into the portfolio.

What You Need

• Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a relevant field.
• Advanced degree or certification (CFA) is a plus.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong research, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
• Experience in deal environments, including acquisitions and diligence.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
