Associate, Equity Investments & Asset Management

Berkshire Residential Investments is looking for an Associate in Equity Investments & Asset Management. In this role, you’ll assist senior team members with multifamily property acquisitions and asset management. You’ll be involved in underwriting, due diligence, and financial modeling, while also collaborating with various teams within the company. What You’ll Do

• Support senior team members in sourcing and underwriting multifamily property acquisitions.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on targeted properties.
• Develop financial models to analyze potential investments.
• Communicate with brokers and agents to validate assumptions.
• Prepare reports and summaries for investment committees.
• Track and manage transaction timelines across various markets.
• Participate in property-level decisions to optimize performance.
• Visit properties to monitor operations and identify improvement opportunities.

What You Need

• 3+ years of experience in real estate financial analysis, especially in multifamily investments.
• Strong skills in building complex cash flow models using Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Understanding of economic indicators related to multifamily real estate.
• Knowledge of key financial concepts like capitalization rates and internal rates of return.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and real estate data sources.
