Associate, Investment Associate

Pine Valley Capital Partners is looking for an Investment Associate to join their team in Austin, Texas. This role involves evaluating investment opportunities, managing portfolios, and conducting risk analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a passion for investing. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to the firm’s growth in the credit investment space.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate new investment opportunities with the team.
• Conduct thorough due diligence and create investment materials.
• Coordinate the execution and closing of investments.
• Monitor performance and risk profiles of existing investments.
• Lead reporting on portfolio changes and performance.
• Develop data-driven reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
• Prepare quarterly and ad hoc performance reports for investors.

What You Need

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar.
• 1-3 years experience in private credit, direct lending or similar preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills are a must.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or AI-based analytics tools is a plus.
• Strong quantitative, financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for investing, especially in credit and structured products.
• Ability to learn from and work effectively with the investment team.
