Associate, Investment Associate – Venture Investing

New 2ND Capital is looking for an Investment Associate to join their New York team. This role is perfect for someone with a few years of experience in investment banking or private equity who is eager to dive into various aspects of private equity. You’ll be involved in due diligence, financial modeling, and supporting fundraising efforts, all while working in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
• Create detailed financial projections for investments.
• Draft investment memoranda and present research findings.
• Monitor existing portfolio and support follow-on investments.
• Engage in executing sourcing strategies.
• Assist in fundraising efforts as needed.

What You Need

• 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, or GP-led secondaries.
• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
• Solid financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Ability to analyze various businesses and write investment memoranda.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• An entrepreneurial spirit is a plus.
