Associate, Investment Associate – Venture Investing

Sturbridge Capital is looking for a motivated Investment Associate to join their team in Birmingham, MI. This role offers a great opportunity to dive into the world of private equity secondaries and gain valuable hands-on experience. You’ll be involved in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and supporting the investment team throughout the transaction process.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate private equity secondary investment opportunities
• Conduct in-depth due diligence on funds and portfolio companies
• Build and maintain financial models for transactions
• Prepare materials for investment committee meetings
• Support transaction execution and coordination
• Monitor existing investments and interact with fund managers

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance
• Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
• Solid knowledge of valuation techniques and corporate finance
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
• Demonstrated interest in investing and private equity
