Associate, Investment Associate – Venture Investing

Uncapped is looking for an Investment Associate to join their team in Toronto. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and analytical, with a passion for technology and start-ups. You’ll be involved in assessing e-commerce and tech companies, making strategic recommendations, and working closely with founders. What You’ll Do

• Analyze customer applications and financial statements.
• Attend calls with founders to assess new opportunities.
• Prepare and present approval packages for the Credit Committee.
• Review and report on portfolio companies’ financial performance.
• Work with the risk team to improve underwriting processes.
• Contribute to retrospective reviews for the Credit Committee.
• Collaborate with product teams to enhance customer experience.

What You Need

• 5+ years of experience in finance or a similar role.
• A finance degree or MBA is preferred.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills.
• Curiosity and passion for technology.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly.
• Attention to detail and organized.
• Commercial acumen, especially in e-commerce or SaaS.
• Collaborative mindset, comfortable in a remote environment.
