Associate, Investment Risk

Global Atlantic is looking for an Associate in Investment Risk to join their team in New York. This role involves monitoring and analyzing investment portfolios from a risk perspective. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fixed income investments and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with various teams.

What You’ll Do

• Design investment limit frameworks using quantitative methods
• Conduct stress testing to analyze market scenarios
• Perform cross-functional tasks across investments and risk management
• Become a specialist in a specific asset class
• Attend and report on weekly Investment Committee meetings
• Help produce quarterly materials for the Board and Committees
• Handle ad-hoc tasks as needed across the firm

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in investments, risk, or insurance
• Strong knowledge of fixed income investments
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Familiarity with NAIC and BMA capital regimes is a plus
• Knowledge of Python is a plus
• Results-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
