Associate, Investment Strategy & Portfolio Analytics

Goehring & Rozencwajg Associates is looking for an Associate to join their Investment Strategy & Portfolio Analytics team in New York. This role is perfect for someone with a background in investment banking who is eager to dive into commodity market analysis and portfolio management. You’ll work closely with the firm’s partners and have the opportunity to grow into a leadership position.

What You’ll Do

• Support managing partners with in-depth analysis of global commodity markets.
• Maintain and enhance proprietary valuation models.
• Manage the firm’s data infrastructure and performance analytics.
• Serve as a point of contact for institutional investors and handle due diligence requests.
• Oversee daily trading activities and broker relationships.
• Manage financial reporting and expenses for the firm.

What You Need

• 1-3 years of experience as an Analyst in investment banking or a similar high-intensity role.
• Strong skills in Excel, with a preference for knowledge in Python or SQL.
• A genuine interest in the real economy and a contrarian mindset.
