Associate, Life Sciences Growth Strategy

General Atlantic is looking for a Research Associate to join their Life Sciences team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for conducting technical diligence and supporting deal evaluations in the biotech space. You’ll work closely with senior team members and engage with industry experts to assess investment opportunities. This is a two-year position with potential for growth based on your performance.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct thorough due diligence on assets and technologies in therapeutics.
• Develop informed hypotheses based on scientific literature and expert input.
• Create professional presentations to share your findings.
• Engage with senior management of portfolio companies on scientific topics.
• Support senior team members in evaluating deals and preparing investment memos.

What You Need

• 2-3+ years of experience in life sciences, biotech, or scientific research.
• PhD in a human science like molecular biology, genetics, or chemistry.
• Experience in evaluating clinical, genetic, and biochemical data is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and synthesize scientific literature.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for investing.
• Ability to identify technical risks and opportunities.
