Associate, Opportunistic Credit Investing

Ares Management is looking for an Associate to join their Opportunistic Credit team in London. This role involves analyzing and underwriting investments in both private and public markets, focusing on companies that need flexible capital solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and engage deeply with management teams to craft tailored investment strategies.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze and underwrite potential investments
• Develop cash flow projection models and investment analyses
• Engage in due diligence and business analysis
• Participate in structuring and negotiating investments
• Communicate investment theses to stakeholders
• Monitor existing investments in the portfolio

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a strong academic record
• 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or credit
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Strong Excel skills, including LBO modeling
• Excellent research and due diligence abilities
• Great interpersonal skills and a team player
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
