The Carlyle Group is looking for an Associate to join their Private Credit Portfolio Management team in New York. This role involves managing credit facilities, collaborating with team members, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements. You’ll have the chance to interact with senior management and external stakeholders while developing your credit skills in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage various credit facilities and track portfolio investments.
  • Work with the team to identify potential weaknesses in the portfolio.
  • Ensure timely reporting for investors and lenders.
  • Communicate with rating agencies to maintain investment ratings.
  • Assist Investor Relations with portfolio updates and fundraising.
  • Collaborate with teams to close and fund investments.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in liability management, ideally in direct lending or private credit.
  • Familiarity with the portfolio investment rating process.
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with large data sets is a plus.
  • Comfortable analyzing legal documents like credit agreements.
  • Knowledge of loan securitizations is a bonus.
  • Strong analytical skills and ambition.
  • Excellent communication skills.
