$32B Sagard is looking for an Associate or Senior Associate in Investments to join their team in Montreal. This role involves working closely with partners and portfolio companies to drive investment strategies, particularly in ClimateTech. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investments and a passion for emerging technologies. It’s a fast-paced environment where you can make a significant impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the execution of investment opportunities from assessment to management.
- Evaluate and conduct due diligence on investment opportunities.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance workflows in sourcing and portfolio management.
- Support fundraising efforts for portfolio companies.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies on strategic initiatives.
- Co-manage portfolio performance and value creation.
- Research and track relevant fundraising and valuation benchmarks.
What You Need
- 3+ years of experience in investments, private equity, or venture capital.
- Experience in ClimateTech is a strong asset.
- Proven track record of top performance in previous roles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in English; French is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with critical thinking and leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with the venture capital or private equity industry is a plus.
- Based in Montreal and open to a hybrid work model.
