Associate, VC Investing

Toyota Research Institute is looking for a VC Associate to join their team in Los Altos Hills, CA. This role involves sourcing and evaluating innovative startups in areas like AI and robotics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deep tech and a passion for finding and funding groundbreaking companies.

What You’ll Do

• Network and participate in industry events to find new opportunities.
• Evaluate and recommend investments in innovative companies.
• Conduct due diligence and competitive analyses.
• Prepare investment memos for the Investment Committee.
• Support deal negotiations and closings.
• Analyze industry trends and create market research briefings.

What You Need

• 4+ years of work experience in a related role.
• Degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of deep tech.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with financial modeling and analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Passion for learning about new technologies.
