The position requires strong communication skills and a good understanding of the local startup ecosystem. You’ll work closely with US-based professionals and have the opportunity to shape the firm’s presence in the region.
What You’ll Do
- Source and evaluate Seed-stage investment opportunities in Japan and Asia.
- Build relationships with founders, investors, and ecosystem participants.
- Conduct initial screenings and evaluations of potential investments.
- Collaborate with US-based investment professionals on due diligence.
- Support portfolio companies and evaluate follow-on investments.
What You Need
- 3-8+ years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or early-stage startups.
- Knowledge of the Japanese startup ecosystem is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to evaluate early-stage business models.
- Fluency with AI tools for research and analysis.
