Associate, Private Equity & Venture Capital

The Investment Associate role at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation is a two-year position focused on managing a global portfolio of private equity and venture capital investments. This role offers a great opportunity for early-career professionals to deepen their understanding of institutional investment management. Associates will work closely with the Director of Private Equity, gaining hands-on experience in investment analysis and strategy development.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in developing and implementing investment strategies by analyzing market trends and historical returns.
• Monitor and manage a diverse portfolio of private equity and venture investments.
• Help select new investments by identifying promising managers and conducting due diligence.
• Prepare quarterly performance reports and present findings to the investment team.
• Track performance and asset allocation levels relative to targets.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or investment management.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a good understanding of investment concepts.
• Familiarity with financial statement analysis and accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of PowerPoint.
• Self-starter who can work independently and communicate effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel domestically.
