Associate/AVP, External Managers – Credit Portfolio Manager

GIC is looking for a Credit Portfolio Manager to join their External Managers Department in Singapore. In this role, you’ll be responsible for sourcing and evaluating external fund managers, monitoring investments, and conducting thorough analyses. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with top investment professionals and contribute to GIC’s mission of making impactful investments.

What You’ll Do

• Source and perform due diligence on potential external fund managers.
• Monitor existing investments and provide updates to the Investment Committee.
• Evaluate potential investments and co-investments in funds.
• Conduct strategy level analysis and portfolio risk analysis.
• Underwrite and manage hedge funds and alternative asset managers.

What You Need

• 3 to 5 years of credit experience, ideally on the buy-side or sell-side.
• Experience as a Credit analyst or Portfolio Manager is a plus.
• Background in Fund or direct investing / credit underwriting.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly motivated.
• Intellectually curious about markets and investing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
