GIC is looking for an AVP, Quantitative Researcher to join their Portfolio Execution Group in Singapore. This role focuses on fixed income markets, particularly corporate bonds, and involves delivering actionable analysis to improve execution outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with traders and investment teams, contributing to innovative quantitative solutions and enhancing GIC’s understanding of market microstructure.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze fixed income topics like counterparty selection and market impact.
  • Collaborate with traders and investment teams to improve execution strategies.
  • Lead research projects and implement models with a dedicated team.
  • Engage in discussions to share insights and ideas.
  • Understand transaction costs and provide modeling inputs to portfolio managers.

What You Need

  • 6 to 10 years of experience, with 2 to 5 years in a quantitative role.
  • PhD in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Strong interest in fixed income market microstructure.
  • Experience with fixed income Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA).
  • Excellent coding skills in Python, R, SQL, or kdb/Q.
  • Ability to manage research projects from start to finish.
  • Familiarity with FX market structure is beneficial.
