AVP, Venture Capital Investing

The Texas Permanent School Fund Corporation is looking for an AVP, Head of Venture Capital to manage a portfolio of venture capital investments. This role involves due diligence, performance monitoring, and collaboration with investment teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in venture capital and a passion for supporting public education in Texas.

What You’ll Do

• Lead due diligence for Venture Capital fund investments.
• Monitor and evaluate investment performance against benchmarks.
• Communicate with investment managers and stakeholders.
• Participate in investment and risk committee meetings.
• Develop and present investment recommendations.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Venture Capital investments.
• Experience in managing and developing a team.
• Strong skills in financial databases and software, especially Excel.
• Established relationships with Venture Capital fund managers.
