About the Opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional Associate to join our investment team to focus on early stage investments the Nordics, as well as sector specific research. This is an exciting opportunity to be a core and integral player, where you will be right at the heart of the European early-stage tech ecosystem, working first-hand with some of Europe’s leading investors and entrepreneurs to shape the future of technology.

You will have the opportunity to build trust and gain the respect of the founders during the investment process and support our portfolio senior leadership teams throughout the company’s growth. Internally, you will be an integral part of the investment team, supporting the Partners and Principals in all aspects of sourcing and due diligence. They will expect you to proactively contribute and defend ideas based on in-depth research and develop our presence in local communities across the Nordics. Our preference would be for you to be based in London, at least initially, but we’re open to candidates based in any other Nordic tech hub. Regardless – the role involves about 25-30% of your time spent travelling.

About You

Most associates have between 3-6 years of work experience and have come up through one of the following career tracks:

– Currently, you’re an entrepreneur or in any operational role in an early startup. Before this, you spent time in a role that demanded structure and a high degree of analytical thinking, e.g. banking, management consulting, or at an international tech company

– You’re a product manager or in a general management leadership role within a successful tech company. You may have spent time as an operator in an early-stage company and you started your career in a highly structured and demanding environment, such as the army or consulting

– You are currently in an investment role

Requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • An interest and understanding of technology: either through education or experience
  • A genuine passion for startups
  • A network in the Nordic ecosystem, and ideally speak at least one Nordic language
  • An international mindset, perhaps you studied, lived or worked abroad, or come from a mixed background
  • The role is sector agnostic, but you will have the opportunity to develop sector specific interest. Experience or interest in B2B software is favourable
