Off Cycle interns are generalists and participate in all aspects of projects and can expect to work on a number of assignments at one time. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, deal teams are typically small and interns are therefore expected to assume important and integral roles. Interns are intimately involved with screening, analyzing and structuring of investment opportunities and regularly attend client and internal meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Due diligence, financial analysis and modelling
  • Market research and benchmarking against market and macroeconomic conditions
  • Competitive analysis
  • Development of presentations
  • Assistance in the execution of transactions
  • Drafting of investment memoranda for internal and external use
  • Analysis and modelling of deal performance
  • As well as being involved in specific investment processes, candidates will help lead individual research projects, focused on either specific industries or companies

Private Credit Strategies

Off Cycle Interns in Private Credit Strategies gain exposure and participate in a wide range of European Credit transactions and assist with our existing portfolio of investments, providing impactful insight and analysis to key internal and external stakeholders, including Portfolio Managers, Chief Investment Officers and investors.

Prior internship experience in investment banking, private credit or equivalent is desirable, but not necessary

Infrastructure & Asset Based Credit

Off Cycle Interns in Infrastructure & Asset Based Credit gain exposure and participate in a wide range of transactions across our long-duration, investment & sub-investment grade insurance capital strategies in Europe, which includes asset-based lending, corporate and infrastructure debt solutions.

Prior internship experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, advisory, leveraged finance, structured finance and infrastructure debt is desirable, but not necessary.

Sustainable Resources Group

Off Cycle Interns in Sustainable Resources Group would gain exposure and work on potential European investments for BXCI’s energy transition fund, with investment structures ranging from senior debt to common equity.

Prior internship experience in investment banking, private equity, special situations, mezzanine credit, restructuring & leverage finance with a focus on energy or infrastructure is desirable, but not necessary.

Requirements:

To be considered for the 2025 Credit & Insurance Off Cycle Intern role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or masters student, or recent graduate
  • Anticipated graduation date: 2024 or 2025
  • CV must include expected graduation month/year and grade
  • CV must be in PDF format
  • Available to intern for ideally 6 months beginning in January 2025, however the team can be flexible
