Job Title:

2025 Summer Analyst – Private Equity

Job Description:

Blackstone’s private equity group offers Summer Analysts the chance to engage in the acquisition of companies across a variety of sectors and transaction structures. The investment process develops both the financial analysis toolkit of investment banking and the strategic thinking mindset of management consulting, resulting in a unique opportunity to develop a well-rounded and comprehensive skill set in business.

Summer Analysts at Blackstone are given similar responsibilities as a full-time Analyst, with the opportunity to participate in all aspects of a given project and be staffed on several assignments at once. Due to the relatively small size of the overall PE investment team, Summer Analysts can assume integral roles within their deal teams and get experience working directly with senior professionals. Summer Analysts are involved with the diligence, evaluation, structuring, and financing of transactions and regularly attend investment committee meetings, management sessions, and negotiations.

Responsibilities:

  • Investment research
  • Financial analysis, valuation, and LBO modeling
  • Industry and competitive analysis
  • Business diligence
  • Drafting of memoranda for internal and external use
  • Assistance in the execution and financing of transactions

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A desire to work in a team environment with dynamic roles.
  • Self-motivation to find solutions independently, and humility to acknowledge limits and uncertainties.
  • Sincere commitment to personal and professional development
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Good judgment

To be considered for the 2025 Summer Analyst Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled as a fulltime undergraduate or master’s degree student. If you are pursuing a master’s degree, you should have no more than 1 year of fulltime working experience
  • Anticipated graduation date: September 2025 – June 2026
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken)
  • Resume must include expected graduation month/year and GPA.
  • Resume must be in PDF format.

Summer Internship Program Commencement

  • June to August 2025 (10-week)

We review applications on a rolling basis and selected candidates will be invited to proceed to interview and offer stages prior to the deadline.
