Opportunity: Associate will be intimately involved in all aspects of the acquisitions process, including the sourcing, analysis, evaluation, underwriting, due diligence and financing of new shopping center acquisitions. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of retail properties and has experience in the acquisition or asset management of shopping centers.

Required Capabilities:

  • Build complex financial models using Argus and Excel with a specific understanding of NPV, IRR, CAGR, and other relevant calculations.
  • Understand and build waterfalls and GP/LP promote structures.
  • Assist in the preparation of investment memorandums and investor presentations.
  • Assist with all aspects of due diligence including lease abstracting.
  • Review offering memorandums on new investment opportunities.
  • Communicate with brokers throughout the United States on potential opportunities.
  • Directly target, source and evaluate off-market acquisitions.
  • Proficient with Yardi.
  • Coordinate and manage third party vendors.
  • Produce monthly budgets and operations reports on properties in the portfolio.
  • Manage relationships with tenants and leasing brokers.


  • Highly entrepreneurially minded self-starter who will work independently and within a small team-oriented group.
  • Ability to work independently while managing up and down.
  • Communicate frequently with partners on various transaction and business-related issues throughout the day.
  • Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in commercial real estate, preferably retail focus, specifically in acquisitions or asset management.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Argus, Yardi, Costar, and PowerPoint.
  • Intellectually curious, willingness to learn, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and strong work ethic.
