Position Description
Cordatus Capital is seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate to join our investment team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the end-to-end transaction process, from origination to post-investment operations and value enhancement. As a key member of our team, you will primarily focus on conducting financial analysis and due diligence, contributing to informed decision-making and strategic initiatives. Specific responsibilities include:
- Perform financial modeling and financial statement analysis with scenario and sensitivity detail
- Screen and evaluate new investment opportunities including market and industry analysis
- Support transaction diligence and execution for new investment opportunities and portfolio company add-on investments
- Assist current portfolio companies across the strategy, finance and accounting functions and frequently engage with management teams
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, restructuring, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial analysis
- Extensive financial modeling skills and experience in Excel
- Previous M&A experience is a plus
- Highly analytical and well organized
- Polished written communication skills with acute attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity
- Passion for investing coupled with intellectual curiosity
- Exception work ethic and integrity
