-- StepStone Group is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their Venture Capital and Growth Equity team. In this role, you’ll be drafting and negotiating legal documents for various investment transactions. You’ll work closely with a team of attorneys and manage outside counsel, all while contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Work with a team to structure investments in venture capital and growth equity
- Negotiate and draft legal documents for various investment transactions
- Manage the execution of term sheets and investment agreements
- Review investment memoranda and partnership agreements
- Oversee outside counsel for specific transactions
- Monitor and manage existing investments
- Supervise paralegals on various legal matters
- Engage in special projects as needed
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to a state bar and in good standing
- 1 to 3 years of experience in venture capital or mergers & acquisitions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Team player who collaborates well
- Integrity and ethical behavior
