About Draper University
We are the 1st founder endurance fellowship in the world & run the largest IRL residential program in Silicon Valley taking no equity up front.
This Fall we’ll be hosting founders from 37+ countries who are focused on building deeptech companies.
DraperU Ventures is part of the wider Draper venture ecosystem, we invest from pre-seed to Series A and are sector agnostic.
We have trained 5000+ founders from 102 countries in the last decade, who have gone on to start 700+ companies and raised $1B+ in funding. Draper University Ventures, A fund dedicated to our Global Alumni association has invested in 65+ Alumni companies, 2 of which have reached unicorn status; 1047 Games & Lemon Cash. Draper funds in the last three decades have invested in some of the most iconic companies of our time. Products and services we still use, every day. Tesla, Skype, Twitter, Hotmail, Robinhood, Coinbase, SpaceX are some of these names you might recognize.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Working closely with our investing team to participate in all aspects of deal flow: from sourcing, screening and evaluating investment opportunities to assisting with due diligence, conduct market research and analyze data + contribute to investment decisions.
- Assist the investing team with identifying, sourcing, and screening startups globally
- Leverage the greater Draper Ecosystem, alumni and portfolio network to source and screen founders.
- Work with the Draper Ecosystem team to utilize tools and resources to gather relevant data throughout the company screening process
- Help as needed with sourcing events, social campaigns & cultivating the brand.
Who You Are:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a closely related discipline
- You have experience in sourcing & screening Web 3 and deep-tech startups
- You have a minimum of 6 continuous weeks of availability for the internship
- You are a problem solver and effective communicator
- Authorization to work in the US
Nice to haves:
- You have built a community of founders, ideally early-stage.
- You have experience building & running the entrepreneurship, venture or blockchain/technology (other) club(s) on-campus
- You have organized startup pitch competitions or hackathons before in a leadership role
- You have been a part of a fund on-campus
Compensation:
Stipend and housing on campus included.
