Job Summary
As an Investment Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in finding deals (deal sourcing) for potential investments in KSA and across MENA. In addition, you will also be heavily involved in decision-making process within our organization by analyzing potential startups for investment including, but not limited to, evaluating potential exit valuations, market trends and growth, unit-economics, business model fundamentals, financial projections modeling, preparing investment memos for Investment Committee (IC) approval, presentations, reports and portfolio management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Research and Analysis
Conduct thorough research on industries, market trends, and macroeconomic factors to identify potential investment opportunities. Analyze company financial statements, performance metrics, unit-economics and industry benchmarks to assess investment attractiveness.
2. Financial Modeling
Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investment scenarios, returns and valuations. Validate assumptions and sensitivities to assess potential risks and returns accurately.
3. Due Diligence
Perform comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including assessing the quality of management, competitive positioning, market dynamics, and regulatory considerations. Evaluate risks and opportunities to provide informed investment recommendations. Generate a full-investment memo for the Investment Committee (IC) approval.
4. Deal Execution
With support of management, execution of investment transactions, including preparing investment proposals, conducting negotiations, and coordinating with legal and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance. Support the closing process and facilitate smooth transition to portfolio management.
5. Portfolio Management
Monitor the performance of existing investments and track key performance indicators (KPIs) against investment theses and targets. Identify emerging risks and opportunities and provide recommendations for portfolio optimization and risk management.
6. Reporting and Presentation
Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders, investment committees, and external partners. Communicate investment thesis, analysis, and recommendations effectively to facilitate decision-making and transparency.
7. Market Intelligence
Stay informed about market developments, industry trends, and competitive dynamics relevant to the investment portfolio. Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
8. Continuous Learning
Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in investment analysis and portfolio management. Seek opportunities for professional development and knowledge sharing to enhance expertise and contribute to the overall success of the investment team.

- Ability to analyse large datasets and extract meaningful insights to support investment thesis and decision-making.
- Valuation, MOIC, IRR, EV/REVENUE, EV/EBIDTA modelling for investment opportunities.
- Strong Analytical mindset and critical thinking skills to identify investment risks and opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
- Ability to write full-investment memos in English covering all due diligence aspects.
