Responsibilities
- Assist in the proactive asset management of a portfolio of opportunistic commercial real estate debt investments across various property types including office, hotel, retail, condo, and multifamily.
- Review and analyze business plans, loan documents, lease approvals, construction draws, leasing activity and monthly property operating performance
- Interact with Borrowers and operating partners to ensure compliance with loan documents, debt covenants and operating agreements.
- Analyze new real estate debt investment opportunities within the Credit Fund business
- Underwrite and value real estate (all asset classes) by building property level financial models and performing DCF and/or direct capitalization analysis.
- Assist is preparation of Investment Committee memos and participate in deal presentations to senior management
- Perform property level Due Diligence and market studies
- Stay current on financial markets and competitive trends and use this expertise in the due diligence and evaluation process
Qualifications
- At least two to three years of experience working in the real estate finance industry
- A Bachelor’s degree from a top university with a GPA of at least 3.5
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic
- Team-player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment
- Proven ability to multitask and quickly understand new concepts
- Strong quantitative, written and oral communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and ARGUS Enterprise
