Position Summary

General Atlantic is looking to hire an Associate who is passionate about providing a high caliber investor experience to join the global Finance team and assume an important role managing key elements of Treasury investor servicing.  This role will be responsible for ensuring that General Atlantic investors receive superior service with regards to capital activity and changes to referential account and wire information and will operate as part of a larger servicing team with close Treasury team coordination.  The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in Treasury operations and investor servicing and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily investor servicing activities with regards to Treasury work, with a focus on time-sensitive communications and conference calls
  • Working closely with Treasury and Finance, prepare and issue communications related to capital call and distribution statuses, including reminder notifications and notifications of overpayment, underpayment and late payment
  • Respond to inquiries concerning funding status, funding processes and wire instruction changes in a gracious manner in alignment with broader servicing standards
  • Adhering to strict procedures and executing in a high-volume environment, perform and log investor wire instruction change call-backs
  • Support investor onboarding through detailed reviews of investor wire instructions and wire instruction verification call-backs
  • When needed, execute on timely and tightly coordinated communication plans
  • Manage associated workstreams across servicing and Treasury platforms
  • Support contact management with regards to contacts authorized to confirm wire instructions
  • Engage with key stakeholders to continually evolve the Treasury servicing function and capabilities
  • Contribute to ad-hoc initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record from an accredited college or university, preferably with a degree in Finance or a related field
  • Three years of relevant middle- or back-office experience
  • Strong understanding of domestic and international wire formatting and bank messaging, including SWIFT
  • Knowledge of global capital flows and banking requirements
  • Understanding of private equity funding cycles
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional, enterprise-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing best-in-class service
  • Facility with Microsoft Excel and Treasury management platforms such as Kyriba
  • Strong spoken and written communications skills
  • Motivated entrepreneurial self-starter who will own all operational aspects of required processes
  • Ability to maintain impeccable records both within and outside of systems
  • Articulate, thoughtful professional with the ability to listen well and ask targeted questions
  • Extremely high attention to detail and accountability with superior follow-through
