Senior Associate, Capital Markets – Private Equity (Entertainment)

Reports to: Managing Director

The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Capital Markets team to lead the execution of debt and structured finance transactions, including securitizations, subscription lines, and credit facilities. This role will also require managing key banking relationships, structuring financing solutions, and overseeing the execution of complex debt transactions to support the firm’s investment activities and growth objectives.

What you will do:

  • Banking & Investor Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with commercial banks, investment banks, and institutional investors to execute financing solutions such as securitizations, subscription lines, and credit facilities.
  • Securitization & Structured Finance: Lead the execution of securitization transactions and other structured finance arrangements, including preparation of offering documents, term sheets, and investor presentations.
  • Credit & Subscription Line Facilities: Lead the structuring and execution of credit facilities and subscription lines, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the firm’s capital structure.
  • Financial Analysis & Modeling: Oversee the creation of detailed financial models to evaluate the impact of debt transactions on the firm’s portfolio and help in decision-making processes regarding debt financing.
  • Transaction Execution: Manage the day-to-day execution of debt-related transactions, including negotiating terms, coordinating with legal and tax teams, and overseeing the due diligence process.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee timelines, documentation and compliance requirements associated with each financing.
  • Hedging Strategies: Develop, implement, and monitor hedging strategies to mitigate risks related to interest rate fluctuations and foreign exchange exposure.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor developments in the credit markets, banking conditions, and regulatory changes, providing insights into market opportunities and risks.
  • Transaction Documentation: Prepare investment memorandums, presentation materials, and financial analyses for internal decision-making and investment committee reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus).
  • 5-7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or capital markets with a focus on debt financing, structured finance, and banking relationships.
  • Expertise in debt instruments such as securitizations, credit facilities, and subscription lines.
  • Proven experience in managing complex transactions and negotiating terms with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in debt capital markets or structured finance, particularly with experience in entertainment-related financing.
  • Established network within the banking and financial services industries.
