Program Overview
Hummingbird is launching a two-year Analyst Program. As a part of the program, you will become an integral part of the investment team, performing the full scope of investment activities during your time with us. You’ll get the chance to partner closely with the investors on our team, working on everything from sourcing deals to meeting founders, developing investment theses, and supporting portfolio companies. We want you to dive in alongside us.
What You Can Expect
You will work closely with our investors, you’ll be part of the conversations across the board, and you will meet with exceptional Hummingbird founders around the world.
Our style of work is highly autonomous and largely unstructured. The people who do best here are those who are extremely curious and high agency.
You will learn through osmosis from every interaction. As an analyst on our team, we believe you will get the best possible training in high conviction, early stage investing.
Analysts will be partnered with one of our senior investors and work closely from one of our locations or hubs. After an intense onboarding and collaboration within the investment team, analysts are expected to explore and spend time with founders on the ground, wherever that may be.
Who We’re Looking For
Relentlessly curious minds. Those who aren’t afraid to take risks, ask hard questions time and time again, those who dive headfirst into new ideas. We are seeking those who are not looking for another classroom to amass more second hand learning, but rather want to get their hands dirty and get to work.
Those who go unreasonably deep on obscure ideas and are obsessive about mastering complex topics quickly. Those who naturally build relationships along the way and are constantly looking to engage with the brightest minds.
Sharp critical thinkers who see beyond the obvious. Those who exhibit an independent drive to take charge of projects and a sense of urgency to move fast. A technical orientation will also help, as this role requires frequent intellectual dives into complex industries and technologies.
People with 1-3 years of work experience who are actively looking to make a move into investing. We want to see people who go out of their way to quench their curiosity and who have an innate intuition for what the future holds. We want to see demonstrated prior interest in startups and/or the VC space that goes beyond university clubs and societies.
