Compensation:Â $15 -$20/hr | Up to 10hrs/week
About Us:
Impact Ventures (IV) is a 501c3 accelerator and integrated capital fund with a mission to serve as a catalyst, leveraging social, intellectual, and financial capital to enable traditionally underserved people to participate more fully in the innovation economy. Since 2017, Impact Ventures has impacted nearly 3500 people through community networking events, educational summits, hackathons, accelerator training programs, and more. Role Overview:
As a Marketing, Fundraising, or Investment Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in your chosen field, working closely with our team to support key initiatives and projects. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and make a meaningful contribution to our mission. You will be involved in a variety of tasks that will help develop your skills and provide valuable insights into the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
For Marketing:
- Assist in the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and content creation.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Help manage and update our website, blog, and social media channels.
- Support the development of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and newsletters.
- Track and report on marketing metrics and campaign performance.
For Fundraising:
- Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Research and identify potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
- Help prepare fundraising proposals, presentations, and reports.
- Support the planning and execution of fundraising events and initiatives.
- Maintain and update donor databases and records.
For Investment:
- Assist in conducting market research and analyzing investment opportunities.
- Support the preparation of financial models, reports, memos, and presentations for potential investments.
- Help evaluate startups and businesses for potential funding or partnership opportunities.
- Attend meetings with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.
- Assist in the due diligence process for potential investments.
Role Requirements
- Interest candidate MUST be able to commit to:
- Up to 10 Hours a week
- 1 in-person meeting per week as determine between intern and supervisor
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in marketing, fundraising, or investment, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with marketing or financial tools (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite, CRM systems, or financial modeling software) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing, fundraising, or investment through previous internships, projects, or coursework.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools and strategies (for marketing roles).
- Understanding of fundraising processes and donor relations (for fundraising roles).
- Familiarity with financial analysis and investment principles (for investment roles).
