StepStone Group is looking for PhD interns to join their AI Initiatives team in La Jolla. This role involves designing and building AI-powered solutions to enhance investment research. What You’ll Do

• Design and build LLM-powered solutions for data extraction and analysis.
• Work with large financial datasets to derive investment insights.
• Optimize quantitative models and data pipelines using Python and SQL.

What You Need

• Pursuing a Ph.D. in a quantitative field like Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics.
• Strong Python skills and experience with data pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and handling large datasets.
• Experience or coursework in AI/ML is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Team player who can work independently and collaboratively.
• Open to feedback and eager to learn.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms or workflow tools is a bonus.
